Last/First Broadcast
Tuesday, October 14th, 2008On May 10th, 1976, we held our first broadcast via FM signal from room 956 of Rhodes Tower. A simple ceremony was conducted. The former General Manager of WCSU, Cleveland State’s original campus only radio station, put the needle on an LP of the Beatles “Yellow Submarine”. The chosen song was an instrumental - “Pepperland” , thus beginning our illustrious tenor. Since then, that same location has been the point of origination for everything that has aired on 89.3 fm. Until now.At approximately 5:00pm on October 16, 2008 we will flip the switch. Tune in to the very FIRST broadcast from our new station and the preceding LAST broadcast from Rhodes Tower.
