Favorite station ID's and disclaimers

I.D.'s...

Gomez - I play this I.D. every week to start my show at 7 a.m. and to end it at 9 a.m. I first heard back in 97 or 98 on Mark Matthew's old show Horsepower and after 9 or 10 years it still makes me laugh. Total classic.

Cookie Monster - I play it at 8 a.m. everyweek. Totally brilliant.

Disclaimers...
I like the pirate radio station one alot from Sealab.

That would sure be cool.

I also recall yet another show-segue-ident that was really great: the one wherein Doug Gilliard's 'TWENTIETH CENTURY GROOVE ANGEL' announced its new time-slot with a REALLY GREAT song:

"'Twentieth Century Groove Angel' has moved, has moved ... lemme tell ya 'bout it."

I love the new "Where's Wainstead" ID. Damn funny. I think I met that guy when I was in Utah (2003). I stopped in a garage with my Assistant Technical Director and happened to be wearing a WCSB shirt. The grease monkey that fixed my ATD's car was a Clevelander that somehow ended up in Ogden, Utah. He seemed pretty depressed about it.

Hey, here I go again!

Another of my favorite idents was this wonderful parody: "This is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. In the event of a full-scale thermonuclear war, this annoying sound will continue to be played, slowly driving all the survivors crazy."

Oh, and I loved that Mothra-PSA about those energy-efficient lightbulbs: "Mothra is finished! Now we must ward off the monstrous -- Trade Embargos!"
It was the special agenda meeting... I only remember because I was looking at the dean of student's reaction for obvious reasons.

I think the "screaming chick" in that ID was Lydia Lunch. The second woman heard was actually some paranoid/Moral Majority mazemind who actually called the cops against the station because she heard a Lydia Lunch bit being broadcast on the station and couldn't think straight enough to not react inappropriately. This real-life incident actually happened back in the '80s, and made local news. Oh, the infamy!

Steve Martin. : ( Hands Down. Hosehead--Take off, eh? Be on the LOOKOUT for a new ID from Buddha and myself--LOOKOUT Rollins ID. Instant Classic. Oh, and though it's the ThIRD (ugh), my WIreless Amber Alerts was the first. However, it was JUST approved--many months later. It features "Have you Seen Me?" by GWAR--a song about abducting children. Oh, the irony!! LMFAO!! It IS clean, though, so only if you know the song would you get the joke.
