That would be logical. However, Cleveland is not, as a city or a population. CSU reflects this. As far as majors, (at least in my genre) some bands cross over. Example: Shadows Fall is a big draw, formerly on Century Media. Their new album is on Atlantic, yet they maintained the integrity to keep the label off their shit. Arguably, it could be their best of their 5 releases.

Keith's PSA noted a special event at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. If CSU administrators again express their wish that WCSB webstreaming would stop, then someone should remind them that Cleveland has a special niche in the worldwide entertainment industry and CSU should stay on the cutting edge of exploiting this niche for WCSB, for CSU, for Cleveland, for the north shore, and for Ohio. Ohio comparatively doesn't have much else developing these days and protecting and promoting and exploiting what it does have seems to be wise.

Well done, Holly. As a fallback plan, could WCSB avoid playing anything on a major label? If WCSB limited itself only to music only on independent labels, then perhaps the big corporate forces would not bother to lean on WCSB. I wonder how much of WCSB's music content consists of recordings on major corporate labels?
