halloween costumes

this is pretty dumb, but i really need some interesting ideas. i don't usually bother dressing up or anything so i suck at coming up with costumes. we're supposed to dress up for work though so thought about it and had something in mind but i totally forgot it so my brain needs some jumpstarting.

so...what are the best costumes you've ever come up with? worst? costumes you haven't done yet but have in mind?

one of my best friends went as a "one night stand" once. she wore a wooden board as a skirt (with clothes underneath of course) and taped a white doiley, a bra and a condom wrapper to it, and dressed like a hooker. it was pretty funny.

this year i am going as klaus nomi with some friends who are doing the same, only as all different versions of klaus nomi.

i have a brown felt outfit thing and a halo and apparently it is sold under the name of "holy shit"

i specifically remember from a fifth grade halloween contest at my elementary school a girl just wearing a box that was painted to look like a rubix cube-that was really cool. i think she came in second.

also that year , my little sister went as "steve urkel" -complete in blackface makeup and all............fucking horrible .........

I'm being Ali G this Halloween. I've got to work on my ghetto British accent and interviewing skills.

I have ALWAYS designed my own costumes -- including my now-signatory Baron Nightwolf outfit: Musketeers' hat, chain-belt, hirsute overcoat, pentagram neck-charm, bat neck-charm, dress-boots, magic walking-staff, et al. In 1986, I used a plastic laundry-basket as a shell and went to a Shire Halloween party as A TURTLE! My mother still has a picture of me cut out from 'The Cauldron' on a bulletin board at her place which shows me at a Halloween party as my own version of The Terminator.

Once I wore a DEVO yellow suit to a Fat Glenn's Halloween party -- but I was beat out of winning a prize by some chubby fellow dressed as -- WATERBED FACTORY MAN! If that doesn't suck, I was beaten out of winning a previous Halloween party by a guy dressed as A TOILET! (Yes, he had a plunger ...)
