Interview With Tatsuya Nakatani - We talked about how he got started as a musician, and what led to his gravitating toward more experimental/improvisational sound; his first gong and handmade bow (chopstick and fishing line) and how that developed over time into the Nakatani Gong Orchestra and custom-designing bows; his DIY ethic and how that manifests in his gear, touring van, and tour management; the sound aesthetics of resonant metal; what the performers in the Gong Orchestra can expect; and he shared stories about some of his favorite, and most unusual venues he's played.
