As you might have heard, The Cleveland Trio is having a cd release show Saturday night at Phoenix Coffee in Lakewood. The Cleveland Trio = Jeremy Bleich (bass) & Josh Smith (horns), both formerly of the avant-jazz band Birth + Carmen Castaldi (drums) of the Oblique Orchestra. More info about this cd release show can be found here:

**Wednesday night at 7pm, Jeremy Bleich will be my special guest on the Mysterious Black Box on WCSB 89.3fm.**
We'll preview the Cleveland Trio cd (a live recording of jazz improv) and also talk about Jeremy's other projects - he's involved in some pretty cool middle-eastern/gypsy-oriented music groups in New Mexico as well as composing for the Coup de Circ/Circus Luminous project in Sante Fe - yes, a circus, and the music is great. Fans of the Trepanning Trio might want to check this stuff out.
Also hoping to have Julie Hutchison (who manages the Phoenix Coffee in Lakewood - where Birth got their start) stop by and talk a little about the upcoming renovation and MOVING plans for the coffee shop - maybe they'll be expanding and will be a viable option for more acoustically-oriented musical performances in the future? Tune in and find out.
