KILLER SHOW! Jooklo Duo + Bill Nace at Bela Dubby!!!

Jooklo Duo, the fiery Italian psychedelic tenor sax/drums combo of Virginia Genta and David Vanzan, partnered with guitar wizard, Bill Nace, will descend upon Cleveland on Saturday June 4th!

"Coming at free jazz from psych rock, Jooklo Duo hones in on the mystical sound of Coltrane and Ayler, and plays its own enthusiastic, lo-fi version." - Jacob Felix Heule (East Bay Express)

"...they're sort of free jazz, but also just sort of spaced out avant improv, as at home jamming with Burnt Hills or No Neck as they are on a jazz bill, maybe more so. They incorporate all sort of haunting vocals and chants, into their constantly shifting skittery improvised mystical sound explorations. Eastern melodies, Gamelan sounds, it's free, and improvised, but also mystical, occultic, spiritual, the sound of revolutionary sixties free music, channeled through the spirit of today." - Aquarius Records (San Francisco, CA)

Western Massachusetts' own BILL NACE is one of the premiere avant-garde guitarists active today. Nace has created his own distinct mind bending cacophony and focused texture with intense precision and control, Nace has one of the most unique and personal pallets of sound ever culled from electric guitar. Both under various guises (x.0.4, Vampire Belt, Northampton Wools, Ceylon Mange) and his own name, Nace has collaborated with many of the most exciting names in contemporary experimental music including Chris Corsano, Thurston Moore, Paul Flaherty, and Dylan Nyoukis.

Opening the show will be:

OBLIQUE ORCHESTRA - (cleveland) killer improvisation and free jazz

ALEX HENRY + ANDREW KLIMEYK (cleveland) sax + guitar/electronics improvisation

aka Fluxmonkey + Temple Fugate + T. O)))range
