I used to acquire the coolest ancient computer junk from CSU's property sales. I scored an acoustic coupler modem and an Apple ///.by wainstead - Anything Goes
Tonight I tried out two apps for my iPod Touch to stream WCSB. I only used wi-fi, not having an iPhone, so any reports from the field would be appreciated. Based on cost and assorted user ratings, I tried out: CastCatcher: two bucks RadioBOX: a buck CastCatcher had a pretty obvious user interface; I had no trouble figuring out how to add WCSB's stream (www.wcsb.org:8001/listen.pls).by wainstead - Anything Goes
Quote: In the age of blogs and MySpace, college radio might seem an anachronism, an analog remnant in a digital world. I've uploaded another 4.6 hours of old "Wainstead All Night" to my server. This batch are all "party line" episodes from the days when the phone in main air was a ROLM phone, part of the campus phone system (I think you have a phone bank thingie now with six lines.) wainstead.info/wan/partylines I've also finally organized the front page with links to all the stuff I have uploaded so far:by wainstead - Anything Goes
Somewhere in the GM's office there should be a very large version of the logo on photographic paper that I had run off at a print shop from the original Illustrator file. I have the file on a floppy disc in a shoe box, but I have no way to get that file off the floppy at this time.by wainstead - The Station
You know... since time immemorial, or at least since 1997, the station's logo is crooked. It leans to the right, just a little. I wouldn't normally care about these sorts of things, but I designed the damn thing. It kind of annoys me. And now, to the freezer for more vodka.by wainstead - The Station
Oh,it's not you. MySpace makes it really really hard to do anything outside of MySpace itself. Well, they don't *make* it that way intentionally; it just grew organically in a really bad way.by wainstead - 30th Anniversary
Oops! That link doesn't go to my blog. MySpace stinks. Try: or one of those should work!by wainstead - 30th Anniversary
