Vic was good but Howard Belcher made that show awesome. It was great to relive my first introduction to talk radio. Great Job!!!

Ray's show is the only reason why I did not dread having to go into work early this morning.

I'm thinking that it may be a UCSB shirt for University of California Santa Barbara. The image isn't so pristine that I'm convinced I'm looking at a "W".

I was flipping through TV stations and "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" was on. I watched the first couple minutes and noticed that one of the two kids trying to buy scalped Van Halen tickets was sporting a shirt that said WCSB. I didn't recognize it as one of ours. It was a creme colored long-sleeved shirt that had a color image on the back. Does that sound familiar to any of you? I could see

Interesting thoughts. First of all, I don't want to see anyone's posts taken down for content with very few exceptions. Releasing personal information of the staff or listeners would definitely be on the list for striking a message. I'm not sure what else I'd cut out if I were in charge.
Regarding equipment purchases... I think the station buys the best equipment that is available on the

Laptops and MP3 players are a tool that can make or hinder one's show. I use a laptop on a regular basis for my show but don't play exclusively from it. Itunes is a great program that can get me instant access to thousands of songs. It can provide instant request fulfillment and it is also searchable. A couple weeks ago on my show, I had reason to do a bunch of songs about China. I searched

The Dick Goddard interview was great! I was really surprised to hear his stance on religion. I'll probably buy his book just because of that interview. Nice job, Ray!

I don't know if it's been brought up yet but Steve Traina, of Steve's Folk was recently interviewed on Coolcleveland.com in honor of his tenth year of broadcasting with WCSB. Steve explained a lot about his show and the station. Good job my brother!

Hello Cleveland is performed by Dawn Bewley (I'm pretty sure that's how you spell her name). WCSB has the 7" vinyl.

America, Fuck Yeah!!! The next GSM will be an interesting one. This ruling will probably be appealed all the way up to the Supreme Court. After that, the FCC will either be successful or will re-write it's policy to something less vague (which could potentially be more draconian than what they had in place). Regardless of that, we should reconsider how we handle our daytime activities and for

I like the idea of you playing it. I'd like it even more if you waited for us to begin archiving before you begin to air it. I'd hate to miss an episode.

At first I thought you were referring to the Brian Jonestown Masacre song, Hyperventilation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69r4cA7EEgE. Of course, that has a few more lines in it other then "Sniffing Glue".
Baghwan, Cleveland's Hindu Biker Band, Has a song called Been a Long Time Since I sniffed Some Glue, but it doesn't fit the rest of your description.

I don't know who did it but, there are 62 entries for "Shadow Dancer" on allmusic.com. You might be able to narrow it down by taking a look there.
I hope your able soon!

I listened both weeks or at least did until I passed out. Entertaining radio indeed! Thanks for reintroducing the Cleveland airwaves to an obscure performer that otherwise might have just been forgotten or in many cases, never heard..

My show was 100% about Gilly. Send me a PM with an address for you and I'll mail you a copy. Ray Carr, Steve Z., and Pottsy joined me in studio and we received a lot of calls from a lot of people that wanted to express their thoughts. Oh, and Art McCoy still sucks.

Well said, Dricore. When I first started listening to college radio, Gilly was a constant force of originality and entertainment. Perhaps more then any other caller of that time period. It is not a coincidence that more then one late night talk show picked him up as a semi-permanent guest/co-host. As well as being a regular caller on Wainstead All Night, Gilly made frequent appearances on Mit

I was cleaning out my laptop bag and found a bunch of old playlists. Most were not dated but they are all from somewhere between February and March of 2010. That's the best you're going to get from a show like Crap.

Andre Williams - The Monkey Speaks His Mind
The Seeds - Mr. Farmer
Delmonas - Farmer John
