Best TV show ever!!

In this thread, let's discuss your absolute favorite TV show of all time. If you have a few favorites you must pick one as your #1 TV show ever. It will be difficult to pick just one so you can mention the others but one show must prevail as the clear-cut victor. For example; I enjoy Twin Peaks, Friday the 13th: The Series, Cops, The Ali G Show, TV Nation, Wondershowzen, Cheaters, The Original Star Trek, and Macabre Theater; but the absolute best show ever made is from our neighbors up north. My #1 favorite show of all time is The Trailer Park Boys. It is mockumentary from some petty criminals' perspective and too damn funny. There are clips on the internet and a movie which is all good, but the show itself (which is partially sponsored by the Canadian goverment?!?!) is excellent. Arrested Development was a great show that was too smart for the average Fox audience. Mr. Show was another show with David Cross that was really freak'n funny. I just recently watched all the episodes of both shows on DVD. There is supposedly an Arrested Development movie in the works.

I record episodes during the day from the Game Show Network and watch them after work.
I hate the ones that Gary Burghoff "Radar" or Patty Duke are on.

star trek next generation - yes freaking borgs!

homicide, life on the street - they cared about music

early SNL

planet earth series (discovery channel i think)

I know ... everyone forgot to mention _The Prisoner_. I recall as a child being scared at Rover the white balloon bouncing along gobbling up enemies of the state.

If I have to go "best show EVER" I guess it would be X Files. I was religiously devoted to that but hardly remember any of it now. What a lot of time wasted with nothing to show, except for the memories of Scully's breasts. Ah, mammaries.

Twin Peaks is tops in my book. Soap also gets an honorable mention. Babylon 5 was a great sci-fi series. Monty Pythons Flying Circus warped me in my high school years. Mr. Show with Bob and David (Bob Odenkirk and David Cross) did it again about 8 years ago. My favorite current show is Weeds on Showtime.

The biggest common thread I see in my taste is a serial based shows. Please note that there are no sit-coms on my list.

He would have spent all of his time taking dirty pictures himself doing Ginger, Mary Ann and probably Mrs. Howell. A real man indeed!

I agree with Coolchicana that Buffy was a great series as well. I'm also a huge fan of Charlie Rose. I'm not sure how I feel about him on 60 minutes, though.

So when is the TV party? Black Flag would be proud of his thread.

Wikipedia describes how amazingly badly the police f*cked *p the investigation into Mr. Crane's gruesome end ... almost as if the hand of God or Lucifer interceded.

Perhaps Mr. Crane made a pact with the Devil for immortal fame in a slightly controversial TV "fun-for-the-whole-family" cult classic while pursuing his own, idiosyncratic 'alternative lifestyle,' and Mr. Crane's ethereal form is now involuntarily immersed in a never-ending hot sulfur bath even as I type.

Either Married...with Children, WonderShowzen, or the rarely known The Idiot Box. I can recommend any of these three, but it's hard to choose. (Many that were already suggested rank high on my list, but not in this highest echelon.)
