Stolen guitar!

Yesterday I was out in a meeting for our new digs for the radio station (wcsb) and during the short time I was gone someone broke into my apartment and robbed it.

Although they only took one thing I have deduced that the person and I know each other in some way.

The reason I say this it is not because of what they took but what they did not take.

The Item that was taken was a guitar. The guitar itself isn't worth anything except to me. If you try to trade it in you wont get much. It is a TEISCO hollow body guitar. It looks cool but those guitars have a series of construction problems that any guitar resale shop can spot right away (picture and description difference below) .

Why do I say that the person and I know each other.
Between the entrance where the thief came in my apartment and the guitar that was stolen, there were several smaller, less conspicuous, more valuable items that could have been stolen.

An average thief would taken any small valuable Item over a large guitar. With that in mind, the fact that the person only took a guitar and nothing else means that the person wanted a guitar and knew that I had some. I also play my guitar with headphones so unless you live next to me you would not known that I have one.

It is also hard to tell if I am home or not because of the layout of the apartment so unless you are the dare devil type you would have to know that I was not home.

This is a problem. My issue it is not with the fact that something was stolen from my home, my problem is that someone could have broken into my apartment when my kids and I were home.

As a father I will do anything to keep my kids safe and I am not going to wait around and ask any questions. I am generally a peaceful person and I detest real violence but there are some occasions when I will make an exception and I will prevail. Breaking into my home where my kids, girlfriend and I live is one of those instances.

If you happen to be the person who stole my shit. Please either return it or sell it far out of state because if I ever do find it even at a store I will track you down and find you and make you pay. Not because you stole something but because you violated my home.

I think I heard you play guitar on the air once. It was really late at night around Christmas last year. It was really awesome. And I loved how your guitar kept feedbacking. It sounded great. You should play out!
